Just say NO to paper towels
I stopped buying and using paper towels about 30 yrs ago when friends returned from living in Australia and told us paper towels weren’t available there. ….so they learned to live without them!
Then I thought - what do I really need paper towels for that I can’t use reusable cloth wipes for? The only thing that came to mind was to absorb excess fat from frying bacon or other fried foods. (We don’t eat many of those these days, either)….This is an easy thing to give up and it can save so many trees, energy and excess garbage that I wanted to pass my story on.

I’m with you on this.
I stopped using paper towels 2 years ago much to the surprise of friends who visit.
They comment what do you use to wipe stuff up?
I have all these sponges and atibacterial soap to clean them with.
They rinse well under the tap and they squeeze out well and dry until next use.
Uses:
One for the floor
One for floor associated cleaning like shoes
The sponges have an abrasive pad on one side too.
-Spills of course
-wiping the dust off the tv screen and window ledges
-wiping shoes clean of mud
-general counter top maintainance
-washing the dishes easily removes the stains within a coffee cup
-you know how long this list could be!
